I participated in the Direct Effect Innovation Challenge organized by USPS in November 2019 at the 1819 Innovation Hub, of the University of Cincinnati.

The competition was a one-day hackathon where teams from various schools in the greater Cincinnati area were given a real-world integrated marketing challenge to find creative solutions to, by the client, Cincinnati Bell. USPS introduced all of the participants to direct mail and the innovative ways in which it can be integrated into marketing communications.

I was one of the 4 members of the diverse team representing the University of Cincinnati at this competition. In the intense one-day session we brainstormed, designed, and created a prototype and presented our idea to the judges and Cincinnati Bell executives that were present.

The idea we presented was based on a direct mail concept that would allow recipients to create a product that would have utility and serve as a marketing tool for Cincinnati Bell. The presentation was given positive feedback from the company’s marketing team.
