The Pulp at Sociowash

The Pulp is an organization with chapters in 8 cities across India. It was initiated by Sociowash, a renowned Digital Marketing Agency in Delhi, India. The Pulp has 5 branches, namely - The Pulp (Media House), The Scene (Events), The Forum (Skill Development), The Meetup (Networking), and The Opportunity (Internship Portal). It is a student managed and student-run organization.
As the Head of Events and Marketing for Pune City I was responsible for managing events, both online and offline and marketing for the Pune chapter. All events and marketing efforts were customer-centric to target the culture and specific preferences of the youth of the city.
I recruited and led a diverse team of 10 individuals who were passionate about the student community and what it stood for. We brainstormed, organized, and executed 3 events in Pune while fostering partnerships with venues and brands. The biggest event was the national launch event of The Pulp, which was also attended by the co-founder of Sociowash. We also planned, finalized, and executed monthly marketing campaigns. These campaigns were intended to market the events held, the content of the media house, recruitments, and The Pulp's partners. As the head of the department, I created a 6-month plan for operations, events, and recruitment.
This role taught me a lot about leading and bringing together individuals that came from diverse backgrounds to work cohesively on a project. I also learned a lot by interacting with the co-founder and working with members of Sociowash, a digital marketing agency in New Delhi. While building brand partnerships for The Pulp I was able to hone my skills of maintaining client relationships and creating new leads that would be mutually beneficial for the brands involved.
